Idhudhanda scientist - 2

One more Tamil movie, one more branch of science and one more jaw dropping experience. Though it has been a couple of months since I saw this movie, I guess it is better late than never to bring it to the attention on the public. Watch Puli Varadhu for some brilliant insights into the field of Psychiatry. If this doesn't encourage more people to take to science, I don't know what will.

Idhudhanda scientist

(Posted originally in my previous blog)

I finally watched an extremely thought provoking Tamil movie after a long time.
In what could be the most honest emotion shown in Tamil cinema, Nasser playing the stereotypical scientist mixing coloured solutions in conical flasks, comes up with the discovery of the century, cloning humans. And mind you, this is not the cloning as we know it today, but rather an extrodinary feat where a fully grown man is the product of the experiment rather than a foetus. And the moment he realises this, he breaks down into tears. I guess that was the moment Nasser realised what crap passes of as science in Tamil cinema.

If only my life was also scripted by SJSurya, I wouldn't have had to worry about failed experiments.

BTW, for those of you who wish to avoid it, the name of the movie is Vyabari.

Today

How does one celebrate women's day without invoking Barathi? So here is his ode to his love, in the voice of Hariharan. Beautiful, inspite of converting Kannamma's beautiful piercing eyes into revolving ones:)
